Crowned House — concept study.

The facade explores the contrast between order and individuality through the use of Equitone panels @equitone_benelux . The material’s natural texture and repetitive rhythm create a sense of structure, while the parapet roof introduces a deliberate disruption — a crown that is not uniform, but carefully composed with varying heights and moments of movement.

This departure from repetition gives the building its character. The crown forms the parapet, less of a literal ornament and more of an architectural expression, challenging the precision of the facade below. The irregular silhouette creates a dialogue between control and spontaneity, allowing the home to feel sculptural, distinctive and alive.

Rather than blending into a predictable pattern, the crowned edge creates a memorable identity — a subtle gesture that elevates the facade and gives the architecture a sense of place.
